Don't let a boring old hot dog go to the table. Step-up your cookout game by adding a delicious homemade relish. By topping grilled hot dogs with homemade pickle and parsley relish, it elevates a childhood favorite to a dish that all your guests are sure to dive into. The picklie and parsley relish can be made up to a week in advance when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Ingredients:
6 dill pickles finely diced
1/2 medium white onion finely diced
3 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
12 hot dogs
12 hot dog buns
yellow mustard
Directions:
Heat grill to medium-high. In a medium bowl, gently toss together the pickles, onion, whole-grain mustard and parsley. Grill the hot dogs until slightly charred and heated through, 4 to 5 minutes. Grill the buns until lightly toasted. Serve the hot dogs on the buns with yellow mustard and the homemade relish
